FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (9-8-16, 36 pts.) were held to a 2-2 draw versus Chicago Fire FC (15-7-11, 52 pts) on Saturday night.
The match kicked off at 6:00 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium to a crowd of 36,432.

The match kicked off with Chicago starting from the center circle as they chose to immediately launch the ball forward into New England’s defensive zone.
Less than a minute into the game, New England took the lead.

Following an intense press by New England, the ball was won by Alhassan Yusuf and chipped into make it 1-0 to New England.
Alhassan Yusuf had the next chance of the match in the 3rd minute when his ambitious effort towards goal went high over the net.
Leo Campana had the next chance for New England’s in the 12th minute when a headed effort by snuck just wide of the net and was cleared.
New England had a massive chance in the 15th minute when a delivery into the area by Carles Gil was headed toward Dor Turgeman, who elected for a cut-back header that was then put wide of the net by Leo Campana.
Chicago’s first chance of the half came in the 29th minute when an effort toward goal by Phillip Zinckernagel was deflected by Keegan Hughes towards the goal and it was saved out for a corner kick by Matt Turner.
Andrew Gutman had the next chance for Chicago when his effort was deflected away and out for a corner kick.
After the initial 45+1 minutes, the match entered halftime with New England ahead 1-0.

Prior to the start of the second half, Chicago made two changes. Chicago Fire head coach Gregg Berhalter replaced Sam Rogers & Rominigue Kouamé with Brian Gutiérrez & Sergio Oregel Jr.
The second half kicked off with New England Revolution starting from the center circle as they swiftly advanced the ball into Chicago’s defensive third.
Phillip Zinckernagel had the first chance of the half for Chicago in the 50th minute when his effort towards goal was met with a diving save out for a corner kick by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Jonathan Bamba had a chance just two minutes later after his effort towards goal was caught comfortably by Matt Turner.

Just 30 seconds later, Dor Turgeman had a massive chance towards goal that was deflected away and out for a corner kick.
Sergio Oregel had another chance for Chicago when his effort towards goal in the 56th minute missed just wide of the net.
In the 57th minute, Chicago Fire head coach Gregg Berhalter made his third change of the match by replacing Jonathan Bamba with Maren Haile-Selassie.
Just three minutes later, Revolution interim head coach Pablo Moreira made his first change of the match by replacing Leo Campana with Tomás Chancalay.

Andrew Gutman had a chance for Chicago in the 66th minute when his effort missed wide left of the net.
Less than a minute later, Revolution forward Dor Turgeman was issued a yellow card for a professional foul in midfield.
Just three minutes later, in the 70th minute, Revolution interim head coach Pablo Moreira made his second change of the match by replacing Jackson Yueill with Andrew Farrell.
Maren Haile-Selassie had a chance in the 72nd minute that was deflected away by Keegan Hughes and out for a throw-in.

Dje D’Avilla had the next chance for Chicago in the 75th minute when his long-distant effort just missed the top corner.
Jack Elliott had a chance in the 78th minute when a cross played into the area was headed just wide of the right post.
In the 80th minute, Chicago Fire head coach Gregg Berhalter made his fourth change of the match by replacing Johnny Dean with Justin Reynolds.

Forward Hugo Cuypers found Phillip Zinckernagel for the simple finish from less than six yards away to make it 1-1.
In the 85th minute, Revolution interim head coach Pablo Moreira made his final two changes of the match by replacing Mamadou Fofana & Ilay Feingold with Brandon Bye & Luca Langoni.
Matt Turner made the save of the match in the 85th minute when he denied Brian Gutiérrez from close range.
Less than 30 seconds later, Will Sands had a massive goal-line clearance to keep the game level at 1-1.

Forward Dor Turgeman headed home a cross by Carles Gil to make it 2-1 to New England.

The ball was blasted in to the area and was deflected of Dor Turgeman and into the net to make it 2-2.
In the 90+11 minute, Chicago Fire defender Jack Elliot was issued a yellow card for delaying a restart.
After the 90+10 minutes, the match concluded in a 2-2 draw.

The New England Revolution are off for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. They will look to improve this offseason to right the ship ahead of the 2026 MLS season.
