What a night for the Portland Timbers over the Seattle Sounders

A brace for the second time from Venezuelan-born Kevin Kelsy, scoring in the 19th and 63rd minutes, was followed by goals from Kamal Miller in the 56th minute and Cole Bassett in the 60th minute, and capped off by Alexander Aravena of Chile in the 90+8th minute.

For the Seattle Sounders, Hassani Dotson got a consolation goal in the 82nd minute, but it was still a fruitful debut for new manager Jack Cassidy, who delivered a one-of-a-kind win over their archrivals in a thrilling Cascadia Derby.

Now the question lingers:When the Vancouver Whitecaps come to town, will The Timbers get a win? As you know, the Caps have had the upper hand over the Portland Timbers, winning their last few encounters and leaving a sour taste in their mouths.

So far, this team has been on a roll, and with the rest of the World Cup wrapping up on Sunday, we believe there’s a lot of excitement ahead for this club — shaping up to be a one-of-a-kind experience for both fans and players alike.
