Tacoma Stars 4-3 Kansas City Comets
KENT, WA–Three teams are fighting for two playoff spots in the Major Arena Soccer League, The Stars kept their hopes alive by completing a weekend sweep first with a 4-3 win on Friday night at ShoWare Center and then a 5-4 win on Sunday at the Cable Dahmer Arena.
The Stars are on 32 points with one match to play in the eighth and final playoff spot. St. Louis Ambush sit on 27 points in ninth, but have three matches remaining and will clinch a playoff winning all three matches in regulation and eliminate the Stars in the process who can only go up to 35 points. Teams in the MASL get three points for a regulation win, two points for an overtime or shootout win, one point for an overtime or shootout loss, and zero for a regulation loss.

On Friday, Adrian Correa scored with 1:58 to go in regulation to give the Stars the win over the Comets. It was his second of the match. Tyler John and Nick Perea had the other goals for Tacoma. On Sunday, the Stars opened up a 5-2 lead and hung on for a 5-4 win.
The Stars complete the regular season in San Diego against the Sockers on Sunday at 7:30pm PT. St. Louis has three matches left starting Tuesday at Dallas Sidekicks (7pm CT), then home against Milwaukee Wave on Friday (7pm CT), and conclude the regular season Sunday at Milwaukee (5pm CT).
