SMITHFIELD, RI– Rhode Island FC have signed defender Hugo Bacharach for the upcoming 2025 USL Championship season.
Bacharach will occupy a senior roster slot.
Hugo Bacharach a 20-year-old, 6’4, 210lb defender from Benicàssim, Spain.
Before college, Bacharach was a member of CF Villareal (2008-18) & CD Castellón (2018-20) youth academies.
Bacharach, 23, signs with Rhode Island FC after a 3-year collegiate career at Fairleigh Dickinson (2020-22) & Indiana Hoosiers (2023). During college, he played for USL League Two side Flint City Bucks (2022-23). He was selected 9th overall by Minnesota United FC in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. Rhode Island FC is his 3rd professional club.
In total career numbers, the defender has played 13 career professional matches (921 minutes) where he registered 1 goal and 1 assist with 2 yellow cards and 1 red cards.
