On what it’s like to join New England Revolution, a club with a rich history of great goalkeepers, Parisian said, “It means the absolute world to me. I’m very excited, very blessed, and fortunate to be able to come into such a historically great goalkeeping scenario and history. One of my inspirations for goalkeeping was Matt Turner, actually, because he played in college, and if I remember he was never on a U.S. Youth National Team. Now he’s the [U.S. National Team] starter, playing in the Premier League, and he became an MLS starter as well. That was a big inspiration for me. To follow in his footsteps and go to the same club means a lot. It gives me a lot of hope for the future and drive to be able to become the next American goalkeeper that kind of his that imprint on the world.”
Parisian stated that he did not expect to be drafted to New England. He stated, “During the combine I had three interviews with Inter Miami, LA Galaxy, and Real Salt Lake. Then after the combine I had a few phone calls with FC Dallas and Columbus Crew. To be honest, I did not know that New England Revolution sought after me. It was a surprise for me because they didn’t interview me during the combine process. It came as a very pleasant surprise, a very fortunate surprise.”
Parisian stated that he is looking forward to working with Goalkeeper Coach Kevin Hitchcock. He said, “It means a lot because everyone says American soccer isn’t compared to European soccer, the Premier League. To each their own. But it means the world, being under such a high level, experienced coach, who knows the game so well tactically and played it. I think it will be very beneficial and I’m very looking forward to it. I think there’s everything to learn going forward.”
The expectation is that Parisian is signed to a first team deal but will play with 2025 season with the New England Revolution II in MLS NEXT Pro.
