FOXBOROUGH, MA –New England Revolution (8-1-5, 25 pts.) were defeated 1-0 versus Charlotte FC (6-3-6, 21 pts.) on Saturday night.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium to a crowd of 14,000.

New England Revolution players and staff held up Luca Langoni’s jersey before kickoff after the winger was ruled unavailable for tonight’s match while attending to a personal matter in Argentina.
The match kicked off with Charlotte FC passing the ball back from the center circle as they sent the ball into New England’s defensive third.
Charlotte had the first chance in the 4th minute when a free kick routine by Ashley Westwood was played to the top of the box and laid off for Pep Biel, whose effort was sent wide of the net.
In the 13th minute, Charlotte FC defender David Schnegg was issued a yellow card for fouling winger Peyton Miller.
In the 26th minute, Revolution defender Peyton Miller was issued a yellow card for allegedly catching forward Wilfried Zaha high in the face.
Wilfried Zaha had a massive chance just three minutes later when his right-footed effort from inside the penalty area was denied by a diving save from goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Charlotte had a massive chance to score in the 40th minute when a corner kick delivery into the box was met with a bicycle kick clearance off the line by defender Mamadou Fofana.
After the initial 45+3 minutes, the match entered halftime with Charlotte FC ahead 1-0.

The second half kicked off with New England controlling possession from the center circle and working the ball through midfield.
