Newport County will reschedule their home tie with Exeter City after a pitch inspection by referee John Busby declared the Rodney Parade pitch unplayable for their latest home game.
The announcement came as little surprise after a spell of heavy rain had hit South Wales, causing rivers to swell and fields to flood.
Details for a rearranged fixture have yet to be announced.
Newport will return to action at Rodney Parade on Saturday when they face rock bottom side Southend United, while their opponents Exeter travel to Cumbria to take on on Barrow.
