Bradford Bulls suffered back to back defeats losing out 38-4 to Leigh Centurions.

Tries from Keanan Brand, Ed Chamberlain, Jy Hitchcock, Mark Ioane, Nene McDonald and Dan Norman sealed, in the end, a comfortable victory for the Centurions.

Most of the scoring came in a second-half onslaught from Leigh after a tightly fought first half where the Bulls gave a good account of themselves but collapsed in the second half.

Leigh opened the scoring with a sensational try, From a questionable penalty given away by Billy Jowitt, the hosts worked the ball quickly to the right and found Ed Chamberlain, his run looked to be interrupted but he flicked the ball back to Brand to tuck in at the corner.

The Bulls responded, after a Leigh error presented the Bulls with a fresh set, of which the ball was worked to Gill who got his fourth try of the season.

The game turned into a tight encounter with both sides testing each other. Bulls thought they had taken the lead, with Dec Patton’s kick causing trouble at the back for Leigh. David Foggin-Johnstone thought he played Gill in for his second try but the winger knocked the ball on.

Joe Mellor thought he had given Leigh the lead, his monstrous run saw him burst over the line but some superb defending from the Bulls denied him grounding the ball.

Despite that Leigh did regain the advantage. A mistake from the Bulls provided Leigh with a penalty inside the Bulls half and from the penalty Caleb Aekins pass was eventually controlled by Chamberlain who strolled over for Leigh.

Early after the break, the hosts added to their lead, Again from a penalty, The Centurions worked it left and a spectacular pass found Hitchcock who had acres of space to score on his debut.

The Centurions added to their score through another spectacular try, A break from Mellor found Adam Sidlow who offloaded to Mark Ioane who danced his way around the Bulls defence and ran over the line.

It was soon out of sight for the Bulls, From the scrum in favour of Leigh, Aekin set Brand in at the right hand corner to get his second try of the night.

Leigh added more to their score, McDonald spun out of the tackle and crashed his way over the line to score his fifth try of the season.

The seventh try for Centurions came just before the end, Aaron Smith played the ball to Norman who found a hole in the defence and burst through it to get over the line.

To add more misery to a terrible second half, Foggin-Johnstone got sent off late on for a high tackle on Aaron Smith.

The Centurions right on the buzzer added an eighth try, Chamberlain got his second try of the evening to make it back to back defeats for the Bulls.

The victory puts Leigh up to fourth in the table with two points separating them and the top two. They travel to York next week to play the York City Knights

The Bulls move down to 10th on two points. They face Barrow Raiders at Odsal and will be looking to bounce back.
