Its been announced today that Nathan Jones has parted company from Stoke City with assistant manager Paul Hart and first team coach Joaquin Gomez also departing the Potters.

Jones had left Luton Town, who were in League 1 at the time of his departure, in January 2019 after Stoke managed to agree a compensation package with the Hatters.

Whilst at Stoke, Jones had overseen 38 games of which he oversaw six victories, 15 draws and 17 losses with a winning percentage of just 15.8%.

In a statement released by the club, it was revealed that Nathan Jones had said the following:

“I would like to thank John and Peter Coates, firstly for the opportunity to manage this Football Club and then for the continued support and patience throughout my time here. I would also like to thank the supporters for their fantastic support. Finally, I wish the Club the very best for the future.”

The club has confirmed that Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy will take charge of first-team affairs whilst the search for a new manager is underway.

Stoke are currently 23rd in the Championship table with eight points earned from 14 games this season.
