Promotion to the Premier League is reaching the crucial stage of the campaign and both Fulham and Blackburn are in contention for a return to the big time.
Aleksander Mitrovic’s record breaking goal scoring form has fired the Cottagers to an impressive nine point lead at the top of the division, whilst Rovers are far from finished in their hunt for promotion sitting in fourth place.
Marco Silva’s men have lost just one league game in their last 10 league outings, winning eight of those to mark an impressive start to 2022.
In front of goal, the hosts lead the way for goals scored across England’s top four divisions with 82. Incidentally, they notched seven against Blackburn in the reverse fixture back in November as they ran out 7-0 victors at Ewood Park.
Blackburn on the other hand, have failed to find the back of the net in their last five away matches. Heading into tomorrow’s encounter, Tony Mowbray’s side have the fourth joint worst goal scoring record on the road, netting just 14 in 17 games.
Unfortunately for Rovers, Ben Brereton Diaz’s injury has come at a challenging time. Missing from their last two matches, the Striker looks set for a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
However, the visitors will be hoping their 1-0 win over QPR last time out will spark some momentum. Prior to victory over the Hoops, Blackburn were five without tasting victory.
