FOXBOROUGH, MA – Assistant Coach Clint Peay will depart the New England Revolution this offseason.
He has been with the team since 2019.
Peay, 51, began his coaching career as an assistant with the Georgetown Hoyas (2003 – 9W-9L-2D), as an assistant with Davidson University (2004-2007 – 34W-44L-4D) and then again as an Assistant Coach with George Mason (2008-2009 – 24W-14L-3D). His first head coaching job came with the Richmond Spiders (2009-2012 – 45W-22L-5D) until their program disbandment in 2012. Following a four-year coaching hiatus, Peay coached for the United States U14 (2016-2018) and U15 (2018) Youth National Teams. He then transitioned to become Assistant Coach of North Carolina FC of the USL League One (2018 – 13W-13L-8D). Afterwards, Peay was hired as the inaugural Head Coach of the Revolution II on November 25th, 2019, and compiled a 34W-36L-16D record over four seasons. In November of 2023, Peay assumed the role of interim head coach of the New England Revolution first team following Richie Williams departure from the team. As interim head coach, Peay held a 2W-1D-6L record. Upon completion of the 2024 season, Peay returned to New England’s first team as an Assistant Coach under Caleb Porter.
For the first time in six years, Peay will be looking for a new place to call home.
It is currently unknown whether or not Peay will be searching for an Assistant or Head Coaching role and whether or not those roles are on a first or second team basis.
Caleb Porter will look to rebuild ahead of the 2025 season with the New England Revolution. For All MLS content, you can find it on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
