Mansfield Town travel to the Utilita Energy Stadium in search of their first win under Graham Coughlan.

The Stags sit 19th in Sky Bet League Two and head into Sunday’s contest following a late fightback on Boxing Day at home to Port Vale.

Mansfield fell 2-0 behind but goals from Nicky Maynard and a last-gasp strike from CJ Hamilton earned a valuable point.

Stags have drawn their last three matches.

Bradford have also drawn their last three encounters and are perched in fifth position in the division.

Their most recent fixture, at Carlisle United, finished goalless.

Team news

Fellow defender Kellan Gordon will miss the game with a back issue whilst Conor Shaugnessy (hamstring) is also sidelined.

Bradford City manager Gary Bowyer has called for his players to ensure their dominance in games pays dividends – ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Mansfield Town.

“Mansfield have just had a change in manager so will have to quickly pick up from where they left off, and we will have to be aware of that.

“When we look at their squad and the quality they have, we know it will be another tough challenge.

“But, we are back at home – in front our our amazing support at Valley Parade, again – which we always look forward to.

“Hopefully, we can make all our possession and opportunities – which we have recently had – count.”

Stags manager Graham Coughlan has called on the Mansfield players to improve ahead of their trip to Yorkshire.

“The goals we conceded [against Port Vale]were poor.” he told iFollow. “It’s frustrating and it’s annoying, but we will get there.

“We’ve not had much chance to work hard – my ‘working hard’ and the players’ ‘working hard’ are two different things.

“We’ll get to my way of thinking – but the lads have given their all again. On another day they might not have come back.”

Head-to-head

Stags have been good against the Bantams, the Stags have won two games, drew twice and have only lost once against Bradford in the last five encounters.
