Birmingham City Women have appointed Marta Tejedor as their new manager.
Tejedor replaces Marc Skinner who left earlier this month to take over Orlando Pride.
The 50-year-old has managed both Chile and Peru at international level in addition to Atletico Madrid at club level and most recently led Spanish club CD Tacon to the Second Division Championship as Technical Director and Head Coach.
Tejedor is also a FIFA instructor and advisor, a role she has held since 2012.
The appointment of Tejedor means that over half of the managers in the WSL are female. Bristol City, Brighton, Chelsea, Liverpool and Reading are the other sides managed by women.
Birmingham City are currently fourth in the WSL table and Tejedor will face third-placed Chelsea at the weekend for her first game in charge.
The Blues have not revealed the length of the deal that Tejedor has been given.
