FOXBOROUGH, MA— The New England Revolution II (4-2-10, 16 pts.) were defeated 2-1 versus Philadelphia Union II (10-3-3, 35 pts.). on Saturday afternoon.
The match kicked off at 6:00 p.m. ET. at Oullette Stadium in Hooksett, New Hampshire to a sold-out crowd of 2,000.

The team started their lineup in a 4-3-3 formation with goalkeeper JD Gunn starting in the net with a backline of (left back) Moshtaba Al-Hasnawi, (center backs) Giovanni Calderón and Santiago Suarez, along with (right back) Damario McIntosh. The midfield consisted of Eric Klein (left), Patrick Leal (center), and Olger Escobar (right). The forward roles were manned by Gevork Diarbian (left), Malcolm Fry (right), and Alex Monis (central) as the lone striker.

Following a short corner kick, the ball was delivered into the area and headed by Damario McIntosh and into his own goal.

Midfielder #6 Cavan Sullivan drove into the New England Revolution II penalty area and slotted it into the bottom right corner. He is now the youngest scorer in MLS NEXT Pro history at 14-years old.

After a shot attempt by Gevork Diarbian was deflected, the ball fell to Patrick Leal who buried it into the net from close range to pull one back for New England.
New England had yet another chance in the 53rd minute when Malcolm Fry’s effort was caught by goalkeeper #57 Mike Sheridan.
Less than one minute later, the Union II had a chance of their own when midfielder #6 Cavan Sullivan’s effort was parried away by goalkeeper JD Gunn.
In the 61st minute, Union II head coach Marlon LeBlanc made his first two changes of the match by replacing midfielders #6 Cavan Sullivan and #22 Sanders Ngabo with midfielder #24 Nicholas Pariano and defender #36 Randy Meneses.

In the 90th minute, Union II head coach Marlon LeBlanc made his final two changes of the match by replacing defender #30 Jamir Berdecio and forward #77 Edward Davis with defenders #58 Gavin Wetzel and #42 Carlos Rojas.
New England almost leveled the match in the 93rd minute when Joshua Bolma was close to finishing the ball inside the six-yard box, but his effort went wide of the goal.
