In their final competitive warm-up before the T20 World Cup, Team USA secured a major confidence boost as they beat Bangladesh by 2-1 in a three match T20 series.
The third match was a consolation for the Bangladeshis, who deprived the Americans of a 3-0 whitewash with a comfortable ten wicket victory in Houston.
The USA managed just 104-9 in their twenty overs with Mustafizur Rahman recording marvelous figures of six wickets at the cost of ten runs. Andries Gous top scored with 27.
Bangladesh surpassed that without loss in just 11.4 overs with Tanzid Hasan scoring 58* and Soumya Sarkar 48*.
Earlier this week, the Americans had triumphed in two matches. Firstly they secured a five wicket win in Houston with Corey Anderson scoring 34* and Hameet Singh 33*.
They followed that up with a six run win, captain Monank Patel scoring 42 runs and Ali Khan taking 3-25.
That secured the series although they have two more warm ups against Bangladesh and Nepal before the big opener against Canada on June 1 in Dallas in a group that also contains Pakistan, India and Ireland.
