Swansea City looking to get back to winning ways after disappointing draw against Wycombe

The Swans failed to capitalise on Watford’s loss against Luton over the weekend, but they’ll be looking to keep the pressure on as they host QPR.

Heading into this fixture, both teams have very different objectives. Swansea, who are six points off a promotion spot welcome QPR, who have nothing to play for, but could be open to experiment ahead of another season in the Championship.

The Swans would’ve been bitterly disappointed having come away from their last match with just a point against the Chairboys, however, after going two goals down, the hosts settled for a point after a quickfire double from Jamal Lowe and Liam Cullen late on.

The visitors head into this contest sitting sixth in the form table, taking 10 points out of the last 18 available and won last time out against Middlesbrough despite battling with 10 men for the remaining 32 minutes of the match.

Both teams come into this fixture with two players in hot form. Swansea’s Lowe has scored four in three, aiming to get back to his form earlier in the season where he scored seven goals in as many games.

Meanwhile, Scottish international Lyndon Dykes has seven goal contributions in six games for QPR, scoring five, including a brace against League One destined Sheffield Wednesday.

The Swans would’ve been delighted with the return of Liam Cullen last time out as the youngster capped his fightback from a lengthy spell out with a goal to earn a point for his side.

Star-man André Ayew left the field after just eight minutes on Saturday and will be very likely to miss out against the Hoops.

QPR

Goalkeeper Seny Dieng will miss the R’s trip to South Wales following his red card against Middlesbrough. Dieng will serve a one-match suspension after he brought down Duncan Watmore to deny him a goalscoring opportunity.

Luke Amos, Tom Carroll and Charlie Owens will not play while Geoff Cameron and Jordy de Wijs are questionable.

Swansea will be welcoming this fixture with open arms as the hosts are unbeaten in nine at home against the West-Londoners with the visitors never having won in South Wales.

In the reverse fixture, Swansea came home with all three points with goals from Ayew and Lowe either side of half-time earning the Swans a hard-fought victory at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
