Murray looks to extend home form against in-form Foxes

Leicester City visit the AMEX Stadium to take on Brighton on Saturday afternoon. Only two places separate the sides in the Premier League table, the visitors sitting in tenth with the Seagulls down in 12th.

Last season saw the first ever Premier League meetings between the two teams with both games finishing 2-0 to Leicester. The Foxes will be confident of victory once again as they come into the fixture off the back of a three-game unbeaten run and looking to achieve a third-consecutive clean sheet.

Brighton’s Glenn Murray will be the main threat in preventing another Leicester clean-sheet, the English striker now netting six goals with five of those coming at home. However, Murray has failed to score in seven appearances against Leicester, despite facing them more than any other opponent in his time in English football.

Brighton will be looking to extend their impressive home form having only lost once at the AMEX so far this season, but do come into the game after back to back defeats. Leicester striker Jamie Vardy will be looking to ruin that, but has failed to score since netting against Newcastle in late September.

Chris Hughton will most certainly be without creative midfielders Davy Pröpper and Pascal Groß who have both been struggling with ankle injuries. He will be hoping to welcome back Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh (hamstring) and goalkeeper David Button (knee) who both have slight knocks going into his weekends fixture.

Leicester’s England internationals Harry Maguire and James Maddison are both struggling for fitness with Maguire almost certainly out of Saturday’s game with a knee injury. Maddison (knee) should return to The Foxes team to which he has provided three goals and two assists so far this season, although Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Matty James (achilles) will be out as they continue their recovery from long-term injury.

Prediction: Brighton have been impressive in front of their own fans this season, but Leicester come into the fixture on good form and the points could be shared in this one.

Brighton 1 Leicester 1
