USA Head Coach Bob Bradley has announced his provisional 30 man squad for the World Cup.

He must prune it down to 23 by June 1st.

Charlie Davies has not recovered from injuries sustained in a car crash and was omitted, but ion form LA Galaxy striker Edson Buddle was included. Two players whose fitness had been the cause of some concern, Bolton’s Stuart Holden and Milan’s Oguchi Onyewu have made the cut however.

Alejandro Bedoya who plays for Örebro in Sweden has been included. He has only appeared twice before, against Honduras in January and the Netherlands in March.

  1. Great. Jonathan Bornstein and Sacha Kljestan. We might as well bow out of the tournament now.

  2. Ravegreen1 on

Kljestan is not a worry, he won’t see playing time. Bornstein is a worry as they might acutally be crazy enough to have him see the pitch.
You might be on to something Gary B. My concern is Beasley. ug.

  3. @Ravegreen1 – Beh! I missed Beasley. I can’t see taking Beasley over Adu. I mean, Adu has been playing for Aris FC at least and isn’t a one trick speed pony like Beasley who, by the way, has lost too much of his speed to fake his way onto the national team.

I didn’t mean what I said about bowing out right now, just because I want Landon out of LA for as long as possble 🙂
