Warrington Wolves meet the Huddersfield Giants on Monday night in a clash that sees the return of fans to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Talking to Prost ahead of the matchup, Warrington head coach Steve Price said, “We can’t wait, it’s going to feel strange mainly because when we’ve not been seeing the crowds you can hear everything and all the communication for the full eighty minutes.”
Warrington is a team that thrives off their supporters’ backing and getting some of that back, albeit only four-thousand, will still have a huge impact on the Wolves continuing their good form of late.
When asked about how much of an impact Greg Inglis has had since being in the squad, Price heaped a lot of praise on the former South Sydney Rabbitoh.
“He’s bought a huge amount of confidence, calmness, humble guy, and a guy who’s willing to add value to our club.”
This is good to hear for Warrington fans with the side returning to play in front of them on Monday.
In games in the past, we’ve seen Warrington be in winning positions and give that up to Salford when Ian Watson was their coach. Now he’s in the Huddersfield camp. In response to the question of what threat the Huddersfield side will bring, Price said, “it’s going to be ourselves, we’re playing some good football but at the end of the day we’ve got to back that up on Monday and not get ahead of ourselves.
“It’s about doing the little things right and areas which the boys have been doing really well in. It’s also about sustaining that and getting better.”
It will be an exciting matchup on Monday between Warrington and Huddersfield. The two clubs put up two good games last season which the Wolves won both, narrowly.
