India faster bowler Jasprit Bumrah will miss the fourth and final Test against England due to personal reasons, following a request to leave the squad’s bubble.
He has played in two of the three games so far, taking four wickets in the series but only bowled six overs in the entirety of the third Test which his side won by ten wickets on Day Two.
The final match of the series begins on Thursday with the hosts holding a 2-1 advantage after winning the previous two matches.
There won’t be a replacement named in the squad with Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav vying for the final seamer spot in the side, alongside Ishant Sharma.
The 27-year-old had already been earmarked to rest for the upcoming T20 series which commences on the 12th March.
Elsewhere, England’s Chris Woakes has flown home as part of his side’s rotation policy depsite not featuring on the tours of both Sri Lanka and India to this point.
