With class, Argentina celebrated its pass into the round of 32 with goals from Giovanni Lo Celso in the 19th minute, followed by Lautaro Martinez in the 31st minute and Lionel Messi with a one-of-a-kind goal in the 80th minute in a 3-0 win over Jordan.
For Messi, it was déjà vu as he scored again in the 80th minute, reaching five goals and maybe more to his account, as Argentina is a heavy favorite to take the cup once again. It is also the seventh consecutive World Cup match in which Messi has scored.
Giovanni Lo Celso opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a goal, and Lautaro Martinez made it 2-0 with a penalty over Marco Sennesi in the 28th minute of the match.
Once again, Argentina goes undefeated to the round of 32 and is looking forward to delivering mayhem over their next rivals, Cape Verde, whom they will play on July 3rd 2026, at 6:00 pm ET in Miami.
Mousa Al-Tamari scored in the 55th minute for Jordan as they exit the competition after three losses.
