Tacoma Stars 2-2 Snohomish United
BELLARMINE, WA–While the World Cup goes on, lower league play does as well. In USL League Two action, Tacoma Stars played Snohomish United to a 2-2 draw on Friday at Bellarmine Memorial Stadium.
All the goals came after the 85th minute. Harrison Emert put the Stars ahead, but then two goals by Aaron Leon threatened to take the points back to Snohomish. Dawda Dibba rescued a point for the Stars in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.
No such rescue happened on Sunday as the Stars were thrashed by Ballard FC, 7-0, at Interbay Stadium. It’s the third loss in four matches for the Stars and it leaved them sixth in the Northwest Division, 19 points behind both Snohomish and Ballard. Tacoma will close the season at home against Midlakes United on Tuesday at 7pm.
