FOXBOROUGH, MA– Negotiations are ongoing between the England Revolution and Ukranian international Illya Krupskyi from FC Vorskla Poltava of the Ukranian Premier League.

If signed, he would occupy a U22 slot, a senior roster slot and an international roster slot.

Illya Oleksiyovych Krupskyi is a 21-year-old, 5’10, 154lb defender from Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

A product of the Vinnytsia and Metalurh Zaporizhzhia academies, he has spent his entire career with Ukranian side FC Vorskla Poltava (2021-present) where he has played 52 career games (3,635 minutes).

Internationally, Krupskyi has made 10 appearances (1,230 minutes) for the Ukranian Youth National Team. He took part in the 2024 Olympics with Ukraine.

In total career numbers, the defender has contributed 2 career goals, 5 assists, along with 9 yellow cards and 1 red card.

On November 28th of 2024, Seth Macomber of the Blazing Musket had reported that New England Revolution were in active negotiations to sign defender Illya Krupskyi.

On December 7th, 2024, Ukranian journalist Zorya Londonsk had reported that the New England Revolution had reached an agreement for the transfer of the player for a fee of $3,000,000.

Sources close to me confirmed that the pair had come to agreement with terms, however, Konstantin Sosenko, the agent of Krupskyi has stated via Sport Express that he is set to meet with Sporting Director Curt Onalfo to finalize the personal terms of the contract.

In the article, agent Konstantin Sosenko, was outspoken on how he was worried about Krupskyi and was looking for the player to remain in Europe. Sosenko had stated that two European clubs were interested in Krupskyi but could not publicly name the clubs.

According to sources, the clubs interested are Maccabi Haifa F.C., FC Shaktar Donetsk, & FC Dynamo Kyiv. According to TaToTake, an additional MLS clubs is also interested.

After connecting with Sosenko, he stated to me that negotiations with New England are “proceeding as correctly as possible.” He went on to note that the discussions are “maybe not going as fast as the Revolution would like” and doubled down on how the decision for himself & Illya is “very difficult choice in terms of its development and formation”. He finalized by stating that he thinks “everything will be positive”.

Sosenko confirmed to me that a decision on Illya Krupskyi’s future will be made AFTER December 15th.
