New England Revolution acquire defender Tim Parker via Trade with St. Louis City SC for defender Henry Kessler

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have acquired defender Tim Parker and $600,000 in General Allocation Money via trade with St. Louis City SC for defender Henry Kessler.

Tim Parker is a 31-year-old, 6’2, 194lb defender from Hicksville, New York.

At the club level, Parker has played 322 career games (27,708 minutes) across the United States in the NPSL, USL League Two, and Major League Soccer. Parker began his career with Long Island Rough Riders (2012) & Brooklyn Italians (2013). He was selected 13th overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver Whitecaps (2015-17). He then was traded to the New York Red Bulls (2018-20). In January of 2021, he was traded to the Houston Dynamo (2021-22). In November of 2022, Parker was traded to St. Louis City SC (2022-24) for their inaugural season. New England is his eighth professional club.

Internationally, Parker has made 2 appearances for the United States Men’s National Team.

In total career numbers, the defender has contributed 13 career goals, 7 assists, along with 52 yellow cards and 2 red cards.

In his career, Parker won the 2015 Canadian Championship with Vancouver & the 2018 Supporters’ Shield with New York Red Bulls. Individually, he was a 2023 MLS BEST XI and All-Star recipient.

Henry Kessler, 26, was drafted by the New England Revolution 6th Overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft.

His New England career ends with 115 games played (9,345 minutes) with 4 goals, 0 assists and 21 yellow cards.

He won the 2021 Supporter’s Shield with New England.

In his international career, he has made 5 appearances with the United States Men’s National Team. He was a part of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Champion squad.

The New England Revolution (7-2-14, 23 pts.) head out to the Montréal, Canada where they are set to face MLS Eastern Conference side CF Montréal (6-9-10, 27 pts.) on Saturday, August 24th. The match kicks off in Stadium Saputo at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
