Defender George Ray has left Exeter City to join Barrow AFC for the 2022/23 season.
Ray joined Exeter City in June last year, making 23 appearances for Exeter and scoring two goals for the then-League Two side.
However, at the end of January’s transfer window, the Welshman made the jump to Leyton Orient on loan from the Grecians until the end of the season.
Ray announced that he would be leaving Exeter on 25 June on social media.
Short but sweet.. absolutely loved my time at @OfficialECFC The players the staff the fans and the city up there with the best I’ve been involved with?? Pleasure to be part of the promotion season and I wish nothing but the best for the club in the future! #ECFC #OneGrecianGoal

The news was then confirmed by both Exeter and Barrow on 27 June, with a two-year deal leaving Ray set to stay at Holker Street until 2024.
