Premiership Players that have impress this season in this thrilling title race

With the Premier League season coming to an exciting and thrilling conclusion with the title either going to Manchester or Liverpool, it’s time to look at some of the best players in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal’s season has really come alive in the past couple of months with Bukayo Saka at the heart of everything.

Already almost approaching double figures for goals since January will tell you much about this wonderful talent.

He is a youngster who possesses immense talent and will surely improve under Mikel Arteta.

West Ham’s season has been promising with the Hammers getting an extended run in Europe to the semi finals of the Europa League and a very good chance of finishing in the top six.

Admittedly Declan Rice is the star man for the Hammers, but an unsung hero has to be Jarrod Bowen who has been outstanding in 2022.

The winger has hit seven goals and three assists to date including popping up at crucial times to score winning goals against Norwich, Watford and Everton. He has even forced himself into England contention.

Cristiano Ronaldo has single handily been the bright spark of a very disappointing season for United.

The 37-year-old has scored match winning hat tricks against Tottenham and Norwich while also grabbing goals against Arsenal and Chelsea in key games for United.

Ten goals for a poor side in a calendar year is a great achievement, even by the Portuguese’s high standards.

If there is a slight problem this season with Ronaldo it is his lack of assists, but one thing is for certain, without his goals United would be much lower down the league.

Brentford’s first season in the Premiership has been one of success. To stay in the biggest league in the world at your first attempt takes some doing. The Bees have been indebted to the excellent Ivan Toney.

Five crucial goals against strugglers Norwich and Burnley, just at the time Brentford were threatening to get sucked into the relegation dog fight, couldn’t have come at a better time.

Toney has also notched goals against the likes of Manchester United, Wolves and West ham since the turn of the year.

There was a lot of doubters who thought Tottenham were wrong to sign former Juventus player Dejan Kulusevski when he joined the club in January.

Now they are all licking their wounds as he has proved to be an inspired signing by Antonio Conte.

Already providing eight assists along with four goals including their victory against Manchester City recently, it is no surprise that Spurs are keen on signing him permanently this summer.

Harry Kane endured a slow start to the campaign, but the striker has been reinvigorated since the start of the year and now looks completely back to his best.

The England captain has scored nine goals and provided seven assists this year so far, and he is now a striker whose confidence has been restored.

His partner in crime Son has to get a big mention. The in-form striker once again this season has been so consistent.

Son has been involved in 17 goals since January, scoring twelve times. The Korean has never lost his belief and confidence for his goalscoring and with Kane now back on fire, both of them are firing Tottenham towards a potential top four finish.

After a slow start, Kevin De Bruyne is back to his excellent and dynamic best. Four goals last night against Wolves proved this point. Having been plagued with injuries doing the current campaign, City have missed his presence immensely.

The 30-year-old is a magician in anybody’s books. He is clearly the shining light in this wonderful and exciting City side and is a world class player, who will be for plenty more seasons to come.

Mo Salah started the season on fire, but recently his form has dramatically dipped off.

However, the 29-year-old has still managed 11 goals this campaign and is still a Liverpool player, defenders are still worried about keeping quiet.

Fellow Liverpool team mate Sadio Mane would get my vote for the player of the year.

The Senegal captain led his side to victory in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.

His performances in a Liverpool shirt as a central striker have been a joy to watch. Mane has netted seven times since the turn of the year, including crucial goals against Chelsea, Manchester City and West Ham.

Other players understandably so get the recognition, where as Mane never gets the recognition that he should do. A player the Reds must hold on to for continued trophy success.
