Both Warrington and Huddersfield look to get back to winning ways in Round 10 of Betfred Super League

It’s back to the Halliwell Jones Stadium for Warrington Wolves as they face a Huddersfield Giants side who under Ian Watson, have made a very impressive start to the 2022 campaign.

Warrington have won just one in their last six with a fairly simple victory over the Salford Red Devils in their last outing on home soil.

The Giants have won three of their last six but are without a win in their last two after losing to current Super League champions St Helens and being holding Leeds Rhinos to a 20-20 draw at Headingley.

With Watson’s side sitting in fourth, it’s a huge improvement on the last campaign which showed glimpses of what the Claret and Gold side were trying to build, but Watson regularly reminded that it was a process that required patience and that appears to be paying off.

What’s even more impressive is that the Giants are picking up results without one of their most promising young talents in the form of the powerful and skilful Will Pryce.

The prodigy has been sitting out for a long period after receiving a ten-game ban for a horror tackle in Huddersfield’s defeat against Hull FC. Pryce also received a £500 fine for the dangerous tackle on Connor Wynne.

Pryce has now served half of his suspension and will be very eager to get back into the action which he has revealed across his social media as he prepares to get straight back into the action at the earliest point possible.

As far as the squads are concerned ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Huddersfield have been boosted by the return of Jake Wardle who is back in contention for the Giants.

As for the hosts’ they see Oliver Holmes and George Williams return from knocks which will be a big boost for the Wire who are desperate to string a few positive results together as they look to climb the Betfred Super League.

With the game kicking off at 3 o’clock, both sides will be hoping to end round ten in a positive manner and get another two points on the board come Saturday afternoon.
