The New Zealander won the second Sprint Race this morning around Monte Carlo, but a technical non-conformity sees the Hitech driver disqualified which promotes Dan Ticktum to first.

The drivers are required to use a defined throttle pedal progressivity map programmed in position 1 of the steering wheel throttle map rotary knob during all formation lap starts and race starts until the car reaches 50kph.

Following an investigation after the race, the Stewards found that Liam Lawson used a different throttle map at the race start, a breach of Technical Regulations, Article 3.6.5.

This not only handed Ticktum his first race win of the season but it moves Oscar Piastri up to second and promotes Juri Vips to the podium in third.

Further down the grid, Theo Pourchaire moves to fourth, Ralph Boschung up to fifth, Richard Verschoor in sixth, Lirim Zendeli up to seventh and Jehan Daruvala takes the final points position in eighth. Robert Shwartzman snuck into the top 10 meaning that his fastest lap at the death stands which allows the Russian to gain two extra points.
