Brentford host fellow in-form side Huddersfield

Brentford will look to continue their winning streak ahead of the visit of in form Huddersfield.

Having started the season slowly, The Bees have won their last three games which includes a convincing 3-1 win over West London rivals QPR on Monday night. Prior to that, they beat promotion favourites Swansea at the Liberty Stadium 3-0. Brentford currently stand in 12th place but only six points from top of the table West Bromwich Albion.

Opponents Huddersfield are another team in form having gone unbeaten in their last six.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank realises the threat The Terriers pose:

“If you look at the form table for the past six games, I think you’ll find Huddersfield are the second best.

“It’s a changed team – one that’s much more confident and with more belief and they’ve only conceded four goals in their past six games.

“So it’s going to be a big challenge and I know everyone expects us to win on our current form, but in the Championship nothing is easy.”

Having also started the season poorly, with no wins from their first nine league games, new manager Danny Cowley seems to have changed Huddersfield’s fortunes around.

Ahead of the trip to Griffin Park, Cowley has refused to get carried away with his side’s newly-found momentum:

“We’re pleased to be unbeaten in six, but we won’t be getting ahead of ourselves. We know there are bigger challenges to come.

“Brentford are a slick, well-drilled team that move the ball well between the thirds and who carry threats throughout their side.

“They’re in a good place and we expect to see the best of them on Saturday. We’re really looking forward to that challenge as a group.”

Team news:

Brentford look set to be unchanged from Monday night with Sergi Canos and Nikos Karelis the only two that are currently sidelined.

Terence Kongolo remains sidelined for Huddersfield as do Herbert Bockhorn and Collin Quaner.

Head to head:

Brentford wins: 24

Draws: 16

Huddersfield wins: 25
