Eden Hazard
The 28-year-old forward has been Chelsea’s main source of goals this season. Hazard’s 19 goals and 16 assists has made the Belgian ever-present in Chelsea’s first team.
However, the Belgium international has struggled to hit similar goalscoring heights in the Europa League than in the Premier League. In his seven Europa League appearances, Hazard has provided just one assist and been unable to make the net bulge.
Olivier Giroud
In the absence of Hazard’s goalscoring prowess, the responsibility of getting goals in the Europa League has fallen at the feet of Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman has duly obliged by netting ten goals, becoming the competition’s joint top-scorer, and providing three assists.
Giroud has failed to score in six of Chelsea’s Europa League matches this term; however, the 32-year-old did contribute a hat-trick of goals and an assist in the 5-0 rout second-leg rout at Dynamo Kiev.
Featuring in Azerbajian against his former employers, Arsenal, Giroud will be a key man to watch against the side he spent six years with.
Kepa Arrizbalaga
Arrizbalaga has featured in all but two of Chelsea’s Europa League matches this term. The 24-year-old has conceded just seven goals in the competition, keeping seven clean sheets, and has been at the heart of a regimented defence.
The goalkeeper also saved two penalties in the semi-final shoot-out against Eintracht Frankfurt, meaning Arsenal will be desperate to get the job done within 120 minutes.
