Tuesday night saw three FA Cup 2nd Round Replay ties being played including the Welsh derby of Newport County vs Wrexham.

League 1 high flyers Sunderland fell 1-0 to Walsall at the Stadium Of Light in front of a crowd of 8,212 as Liam Kinsella’s 52nd minute strike was enough to separate the two sides.

As a result, the visitors travel to Championship strugglers Bolton Wanderers in the 3rd Round.

National League side Wrexham fell to local rivals Newport County 4-0 at Rodney Parade after a solid 1st half performance which saw Luke Young being dismissed early for a dangerous tackle on Mickey Demetriou.

The League 2 side showed their dominance in the 2nd half with goals from
Padraig Amond, Jamille Matt, a Mark Carrington own goal and Dan Butler which secured a home tie with Premier League side Leicester City.

Lastly, Peterborough United overcame a fierce comeback from Bradford City to go through to the 3rd Round courtesy of a 3-2 penalty shootout win after finishing extra time with the scoreline at 4-4 of which the scoring started after 18 minutes.

Peterborough scored thanks to a hat trick from Ivan Toney alongside a Marcus Maddison piece whilst Bradford scored from a George Miller double alongside strikes from David Ball and Paul Caddis.

Peterborough will now travel to Championship side Middlesborough in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.
