FOXBOROUGH, MA – The New England Revolution (7-2-14, 23 pts.) were held to a 1-1 draw versus FC Dallas (8-6-11, 30 pts.) in an MLS match on Saturday night.

The team started their lineup in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Aljaž Ivačič starting in net with a backline of (left back) Peyton Miller, (center backs) Henry Kessler, and Dave Romney, along with (right back) Brandon Bye. The midfield spots were manned by Mark-Anthony Kaye (left defensive midfield) and Matt Polster (right defensive midfield), with Ian Harkes appeared ahead of them (central attacking midfield). The forward roles were manned by Tommy McNamara (left wing), Esmir Bajraktarević (right wing), and Giacomo Vrioni as the lone striker.
All three Designated Players were unavailable for tonight’s match due to injuries.
In Carles Gil’s absence, midfielder Matt Polster wore the captain’s armband.
This is Peyton Miller’s first career MLS start. He made his MLS debut on Wednesday.

The match kicked off with New England starting from the center circle. Ian Harkes played the ball back to AljaĹľ IvaÄŤiÄŤ, who launched the ball into Dallas’ defensive third.
New England’s first major chance came in the 7th minute when defender Peyton Miller’s effort struck the post.
Dallas’ first chance came in the 15th minute from a freekick delivery by midfielder #8 Sebastian Lletget that went through the box and came to nothing.

In the 30th minute, Revolution defender Xavier Arreaga was issued a yellow card for fouling midfielder #23 Logan Farrington.
Just two minutes later, in the 32nd minute, FC Dallas head coach Peter Luccin was issued a yellow card for dissent.
In the 37th minute, FC Dallas defender #25 Sebastien Ibeagha was issued a yellow card for an extremely harsh found on Peyton Miller.

The second half kicked off with FC Dallas kicking off from the center circle and immediately launching the ball into New England’s defensive third.

In the 48th minute, FC Dallas defender #17 Nkosi Tafari was issued a yellow card for a foul on Bobby Wood.
Entering the 57th minute, time was stopped following a head-to-head collision between FC Dallas midfielders #7 Paul Arriola and #8 Sebastian Lletget.
FC Dallas’ next chance came in the 58th minute when midfielder #23 Logan Farrington looked to find midfielder #29 Sam Junqua at the back post. His effort went high and wide over the net. The play was stopped for VAR review after a shout of a potential push by Brandon Bye. Play continued with no penalty called.

Defender Peyton Miller delivered the ball into the area to find forward Bobby Wood for the finish past goalkeeper #30 Marten Paes for his first goal in over a year. This is also Peyton Miller’s first career assist.
Just 3 minutes later, New England thought they had scored yet another goal after midfielder Ian Harkes connected with midfielder Tommy McNamara, however, the referee indicated that Ian Harkes started his run in an offsides position.
In the 70th minute, Revolution midfielder Ian Harkes was issued a yellow card.
New England’s next chance came a minute later when Brandon Bye’s effort from outside the box was sent sailing over the net.
As the match entered the 73rd minute, play was stopped for a 3rd time due to a head/neck injury to FC Dallas midfielder #8 Sebastian Lletget.
Entering the 74th minute, FC Dallas head coach Peter Luccin made his first two changes of the match by replacing midfielders #29 Sam Junqua and #12 Carl Sainte with defender #22 Ema Twumasi and forward #41 Tarik Scott.

Following a collision in the box between Revolution defender Henry Kessler and FC Dallas forwards #41 Tarik Scott and #31 Eugene Ansah, the referee pointed to spot. Henry Kessler was issued a yellow card following the decision. In the following penalty kick, midfielder #7 Paul Arriola stepped up and roofed the ball into the top right corner to make it 1-1.
FC Dallas’ next chance came in the 98th minute when midfielder #7 Paul Arriola’s effort just missed the left post.
In the 90+9 minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his final change of the match by replacing midfielder Ian Harkes with midfielder Jack Panayotou.
