No sanctions set to be imposed on Ahmedabad from third Test Match between England and India

The pitch in Ahmedabad from the third Test Match played between England and India will have no punishment put on it, despite the match being finished inside two days last month.

The home side won that match by ten wickets, resulting in many calling for sanctions to be imposed on it but it has been rated as “average” by Javagal Srinath meaning there will be no further action taken.

Demerit points can be collected by stadiums and if need, can mean they lose out on hosting games if this is necessary.

India went onto to win the series 3-1 despite losing the first game and as a result qualified for the World Test Championship against New Zealand which will take place at the Ageas bowl in June.
