CT United had the first chance of the match when winger Alex Monis’ effort in the 9th minute was blocked away by defender Chris Mbaï-Assem, and the rebound that fell to defender Rickson van Hees was sent over the bar.
Daniel D’Ippolito had another chance for CT United just 3 minutes later when his left-footed shot was saved by goalkeeper Donovan Parisian.
Barnabás Tanyi then had a chance of his own in the 16th minute when his right-footed effort was blocked by defender Chris Mbaï-Assem.
Entering the 18th minute, New England took the lead.

Defender Damario McIntosh played a spectacular through-ball to find forward Jayden Da in-behind for the right-footed finish past goalkeeper Anthony Ramos to make it 1-0 to New England.
In the 20th minute, Revolution II forward Jayden Da was issued a yellow card for a foul on defender Jahvar Stephenson.
CT United’s next chance came in the 23rd minute when a corner kick delivery by Alex Monis was sent into the box and headed over the bar by midfielder Daniel D’Ippolito.
Just 3 minutes later, CT United had yet another corner kick chance that was just missed after a header by defender Jahvar Stephenson.
Daniel D’Ippolito had yet another headed opportunity from a corner kick in the 33rd minute when his header missed just right of the net.

Andre Applewhaite had a chance following for CT United just two minutes later, however, he sent his chance over the bar.

Jayden Da had the next chance for New England in the 45+3 minute when his right-footed shot inside the penalty area snuck wide to the left.

Prior to the start of the second half, CT United head coach Shavar Thomas made his second change by replacing Robbie Mora with Dylan Lacy.
The second half began with New England starting the half by electing to launch the ball into FC Cincinnati 2’s defensive third.
CT United had the first chance of the half when just over a minute into the second half, midfielder Daniel D’Ippolito’s right footed shot missed just left of the net.
CT United’s best chance of the match came in the 51st minute when an effort by Barnabás Tanyi was met by a spectacular save by goalkeeper Donovan Parisian.

Defender Schinieder Mimy found midfielder Cristiano Oliveira, who turned two defenders and found forward Malcolm Fry in-behind for the simple close-range finish to make it 2-0 to New England.
In the 60th minute, both teams made changes. CT United head coach Shavar Thomas replaced Alex Monis & Daniel D’Ippolito with Ibrahim Kasule & Ernesto Gómez. Revolution II head coach Pablo Moreira made his first change of the match by replacing Malcolm Fry with Myles Morgan.
Just 3 minutes later, in the 63rd minute, CT United defender Jahvar Stephenson was issued a yellow card for a foul on forward Jayden Da.
New England had a massive chance in the 67th minute when forward Jayden Da had a shot in the center of the penalty area, however, his shot struck the post and was cleared away for a corner kick.

In the 76th minute, Revolution II defender Damario McIntosh was issued a yellow card for fouling forward Laurie Goddard.
