Koke Vegas & HC Khano Smith named to USL Championship Team of the Week 11

PAWTUCKET, RI– Rhode Island FC goalkeeper Koke Vegas & Head Coach Khano Smith have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week 11 following Saturday night’s 3-0 victory over Tampa Bay Rowdies.

This is Koke Vegas’ first Team of the Week appearance this season.

Koke Vegas was given a spot on Team of the Week 11 following his glorious performance on Saturday night versus Tampa Bay Rowdies. Vegas, who played the full 90 minutes in net, received an 8.4 match rating according to Fotmob. Throughout the match, Vegas went 25/33 (76%) on pass accuracy and went 6/14 (43%) on long-ball accuracy. He registered 5 saves, 3 of which were diving saves and 1 time he acted as a sweeper. He made 5 throws, 2 high claims, and had 6 recoveries throughout the match. He touched the ball 45 times and conceded 0 goals.

Khano Smith and Rhode Island FC remain on the road to face Eastern Conference side Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
