FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (2-1-4, 7 pts) were victorious 1-0 over Atlanta United (2-3-3, 9 pts) on Saturday Afternoon.
The match kicked off at 2:45 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to a crowd of 41,879.

Starting XI versus Atlanta United.
The match kicked off with New England starting from the center circle and swiftly advancing the ball up the left flank.
Atlanta had the first chance of the match when a lofted ball into the area was met with a palm save by Aljaž Ivačič.
New England’s first chance came from a long-distant Carles Gil effort that was saved away by Brad Guzan in the 8th minute.
Maxi Urruti had a chance of his own in the 16th minute when his right-footed long distant effort was saved by Brad Guzan.
Emmanuel Latte Lath had a chance of his own less than a minute later, but his effort was blocked away by Aljaž Ivačič.
Atlanta’s best chance of the half came from a Brooks Lennon cross that was headed on by Emmanuel Latte Lath and struck the crossbar in the 24th minute. A loose shot by Miguel Almirón was then saved by Aljaž Ivačič.
Maxi Urruti had another chance in the 26th minute when his effort was saved once more by Brad Guzan.
Entering the 29th minute, Atlanta thought they gained the lead.

A cross into the area was flicked away by Tanner Beason and fell kindly for Pedro Amador. He then found Miguel Almirón for a curling effort that snuck past Aljaž Ivačič, however, Amador was in an offside position, and the goal was negated.
Entering the 34th minute, New England were granted a penalty kick after Emmanuel Latte Lath took down Carles Gil in the penalty area.

Carles Gil stepped up and took the penalty and roofed it into the top left corner to make it 1-0 to New England.
Peyton Miller had a chance of his own in the 37th minute when his effort went high over the bar.
Carles Gil almost found Ignatius Ganago for another in the 39th minute but the effort was saved by Brad Guzan.
In the 45+4 minute, Revolution forward Maxi Urruti was issued a yellow card.
After 45+6 minutes, the match entered halftime with New England ahead 1-0.

Prior to the start of the second half, Atlanta United head coach Ronny Delia made his first change by replacing Saba Lobzhanidze with Noah Cobb.
The second half kicked off with Atlanta United immediately advancing the ball into New England’s defensive third.
Atlanta’s thought they scored again in the 46th minute when Emmanuel Latte Lath scored, however, offsides was called, and the scoreline remained 1-0.
In the 58th minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his first two changes of the match by replacing Maxi Urruti & Peyton Miller with Leo Campana & Will Sands.

In the 73rd minute, Atlanta United head coach Ronny Delia made three changes by replacing Tristan Muyumba, Bartosz Slisz, & Pedro Amador with Mateusz Klich, Ajani Fortune & Xande Silva.
Atlanta’s next chance came in the 67th minute when a header was batted away by goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič.
In the 77th minute, Revolution midfielder Alhassan Yusuf was issued a yellow card.

Less than one minute later, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his third change of the match by replacing Ignatius Ganago with Tomás Chancalay. This is Chancalay’s first appearance since May of 2024.
In the 84th minute, Atlanta United head coach Ronny Delia made his fifth and final change of the match by replacing Luis Abram with Jamal Thiaré.
Less than a minute later, Atlanta had their best chance of the half when a cross by Brooks Lennon found the head of Emmanuel Latte Lath & his header struck the post.
Less than a minute later again, Aljaž Ivačič made a spectacular save on a shot attempt by Miguel Almirón.
In the 88th minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his final change of the match by replacing Ilay Feingold with Brandon Bye.

New England’s best chance of the half came in the 90+1 minute when Leo Campana was one on one with Brad Guzan and unfortunately his effort was cleared away.
In the 90+3 minute, Atlanta United midfielder Mateusz Klich was issued a yellow card.
After 90+8 minutes, the match concluded with New England holding on to the 1-0 lead.
