New England Revolution acquire U22 Initiative rightback Ilay Feingold from Maccabi Haifa FC

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have acquired defender Ilay Feingold from Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Haifa FC

Feingold will be a U22 initiative player & will occupy a senior roster slot & an international roster slot.

Ilay Feingold is a 20-year-old, 5’10, 137lbs defender from Netanya, Israel.

At the club level, Feingold has played 57 career games (4,005 minutes) across Israel. Feingold began his youth career with Maccabi Netanya FC (2011-19). He then joined Hapoel Ra’anana. In 2020, he joined Maccabi Haifa FC (2020-2025). He made his Israeli Premier League debut with Maccabi Haifa FC in 2023.

In total club numbers, the defender has contributed 0 career goals, 1 assist, along with 12 yellow cards and 0 red cards.

Internationally, Feingold has made 2 senior appearances (180 minutes) for the Israel Men’s National Team.

In international numbers, the defender has 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 yellow cards & 0 red cards.

On January 14th, 2024, Seth Macomber of The Blazing Musket had reported that the New England Revolution were interested in acquiring the Israeli defender from Maccabi Haifa FC.

Tom Bogert of GiveMeSport also confirmed the reports. Just two days later, Bogert confirmed that New England secured the deal for just under $2,500,000

He will occupy a U22 Initiative slot.

On January 24th, Ilay Feingold, along with his agency group, ISCOUT LTD, travelled to Boston to complete the move.

The club announced his signing on January 28th for an undisclosed fee (reportedly $2.5m).

His contract is a three-year contract through the 2027 MLS season, with a club option for 2028.

With his top-flight domestic and national team experience, we expect Ilay to assimilate well to MLS”

He has yet to join his new teammates in Florida for preseason.
