Patrick Viera’s Eagles eye up the Bees as they travel to the Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford currently possess the worst form in the Premier League and will be desperate to ease relegation worries with a victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Frank’s side showed promise against table-toppers Manchester City on Wednesday evening, but in the end, quality prevailed and they left the Etihad with nothing losing 2-0.

It’s been eleven games since the Bees struck first which has been a problem for the Premier League newcomers in recent times. An opening goal from Ivan Toney put them on their way from the penalty spot saw them overcome Everton back in late November last year.

The last time these two sides met, neither team could break the deadlock as they played out a rather frantic encounter at Selhurst Park. Palace make the short trip across London off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with relegation strugglers Norwich.

Viera’s team have failed to record a league victory in the last four, so three points are very much on the horizon. Two cup victories against League Two Hartlepool and Championship Millwall have come for the Eagles in that period.

Furthermore, things don’t get much better for the visitors on the road, with their last away league victory coming against reigning champions Manchester City.

Thomas Frank has hinted Christian Eriksen’s Brentford debut is on the horizon, however it remains to be seen when that will be. Meanwhile, Ivan Toney and Tarique Fosu are doubts.

There are fresh injury concerns for Viera as Chiekou Kouyate edges towards a return. An unchanged line-up from midweek’s draw with Norwich is expected.
