England C squad named for Wales test

England C manager Paul Fairclough has named a 16-man squad for the visit of Wales in March.

The squad, made up of under-23 players from Vanarama National League clubs and below, will play their first match of 2019 against Wales at Salford City’s Peninsula Stadium.

Fairclough’s side beat Estonia in their last game of 2018 at Leyton Orient but will begin their 2019 campaign against Wales in the North-East on Tuesday 19 March.

The two sides meet in a return fixture after an entertaining clash in Barry last year, England returned across the border with a 3-2 victory from their first meeting with Wales at this level.

Only four of the squad from that game remain in the squad for the latest meeting, Dan Jones, Laurence Maguire, Ryan Croasdale and James Hardy all retain their places.

Admission stands at £10 for adults, £5 for under 16s and over 60s, while children under five go free.
