Napoli host Salzburg while Frankfurt meet Inter – UEL Round of 16 draw

Last season’s semi-finalist Salzburg will meet Napoli in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 after they overwhelmed Club Brugge beating them 4-0 in the second leg. Napoli flew past Swiss side FC Zurich.

The only tie with two former winners in is Eintracht Frankfurt hosting Italian side Inter Milan. The German side scored four in the second leg to beat Shakhtar Donetsk, who’d been knocked out of the Champions League.

Inter Milan easily dispatched of Austrian side Rapid Wien with a thumping 5-0 aggregate victory.

Europa League Round of 32 round-up

Both English sides qualified into the last 16, Chelsea’s reward was a trip to the Ukraine as they drew Dynamo Kyiv. Chelsea beat Swedish side Malmö while Kyiv beat Greek side Olympiacos.

Arsenal will square off against French side Stade Rennais who were level in the first leg when the faced Spanish side Real Betis. Rennais won 3-1 in Spain to be rewarded by facing Unai Emery’s gunners who sit fifth in the Premier League. This tie will see Petr Cech possibly face his former side.

Zenit will host Spanish side Villarreal, the Russian side overcame a loss on the previous match against Turkish side Fenerbahçe to book their place in the last 16. Villarreal held on against Portuguese outfit Sporting CP, last time the two met it was in the 2007/08 season and the hosts beat them on away goals and won the Europa League that season.
