Another round of county championship matches commences on Thursday. In Division One the current leaders Surrey don’t feature in this round of matches, with second placed Lancashire in action looking to reduce the gap at the top.
As we head into the middle of May, we are already heading towards the sixth round of county championship matches.
Surrey continued their unbeaten start to their championship campaign by picking up their second win of the season and moving to the top of Division One after beating Somerset by three wickets at the Kia Oval.
