The Italian driver bided his time as he made the move on Jonny Edgar for the lead of the race and controlled the race after that point.
Frederik Vesti was able to take the race victory as he overtook Championship leader Dennis Hauger to take the win. The Norweigan ended up finishing in second with Prema Racing teammate Olli Caldwell rounding off the podium in third.
Dennis Hauger’s heroic drive saw him storm to glory as he made up 11 positions over the 24 lap race. The Norweigan was able to pick up the pieces when Matteo Nannini and Clement Novalak cost themselves a top-three finish.
The Prema Racing driver claimed that “Victor [Martins] would have done the same in my position” had roles been reversed as the two drivers battled it out for victory on the final lap of Formula 3’s second race.
