Seattle Reign 1-1 Bay FC

SEATTLE, WA–Seattle Reign just missed out on a chance to go third in the NWSL table following a 1-1 draw with Bay FC, but can still clinch a playoff spot on Sunday should Houston fail to defeat Angel City.

The visitors went up in the 31st minute as Rachael Kundananji sent a cross into the box that was would be finished off by Taylor Huff. Seattle then pressed for an equalizer. Nerilla Mondeshir shot one off the post in the 37th minute. Jordan Silkowitz had made three saves for Bay FC.

However, in the 84th minute, a rebound would come to the feet of Jess Fishlock and she would make no mistake from eight yards out. It is the third draw in four matches for the Reign as they are on 35 points, level on points with Gotham FC, but Gotham have the advantage on goal difference.

Both teams are home on Friday night at 7pm PT. Bay FC will host North Carolina Courage on Amazon Prime while Seattle will host Utah Royals at Lumen Field.
