SEATTLE, WA–The Pete Fewing Cup will stay near Montlake as the Washington Huskies ran rampant over near-rivals Seattle U, 7-2, at Husky Soccer Stadium. The Huskies are now four unbeaten after opening losses to Denver and Oregon State. The Redhawks are now 0-3-2 on the season.

It was Seattle who scored the opening two goals of the contest on goals by Yeider Zuluaga (10th minute) and Allen Blegay Jr. (24th minute). However, the 37th minute would make the start of seven unanswered goals for the Huskies.
Connor Lofy pulled one back for the Huskies heading in Alex Hall’s free kick. The Huskies then bagged three more goals in 2 minutes, 27 seconds through Harrison Bertos, Zach Ramsey, and Chad Sovde. Egor Alukov scored the fifth heading in a corner kick in the 64th minute. Ramsey netted his second two minutes later, and Clearns Dollin capped the scored with a chip over the keeper from an acute angle.
The Huskies open Big Ten play at home against Michigan State on Friday (7:30pm PT, BIG+), followed by another in-state rival in Gonzaga on Tuesday night (7pm PT, BIG+).
