The FA National Futsal Series finals take place this Sunday with three division finals live on TV at Wolverhampton University.

A competition that has grown substantially over the past couple of years, it will showcase some top talents as BT Sport will play host to the final weekend this Sunday.

The Women’s Super Series and Men’s National Futsal Series One and Two finals will all take place on a jam-packed day of action starting at 9 am with the final game taking place at 2:30 pm.

Looking at the Women’s Super Series final, Bolton will take on London Helvecia in a final not many predicted as Bolton shocked favourites, the University of Liverpool, in the semi-final to take their place in the summer showdown.

Standout player Zara Musker will have to be on top form in order to pull off another shock result in this one with Bolton liking to turn up looking to frustrate their far-superior London counterparts.

As for Helvecia, they play an expansive brand of futsal with quick and efficient ball retention moving from right to left with a number of renowned NFS stars such as Charlotte Gurr expecting to dominate proceedings.

Bolton though will take inspiration from their semi-final exploits and the chance to showcase their ability on TV in order to hope to pull off a stunning showdown victory.

On to the Men’s finals and the first will be the Series Two final between Wessex and London Escolla kicking off at 11:45 am.

Wessex possess a team full of international names that are well known in futsal circles and the likes of Connor Millar and Jordan Matthews worked well to dispose of London Genesis in the semi-finals.

In contrast to Wessex, Escolla are a young up and coming side who have impressed with a fast-paced brand of futsal. The experience of big occasions is limited within their ranks and many see Wessex as a level above but they will certainly want to show what they possess in this one.

Rounding things up with the final match of the day, Pro Futsal London take on London Helvecia in the Series One final with Helvecia having representation in both the Women’s and Men’s grand finals.

Both of these sides went head-to-head in their division before COVID brought a premature end to the season, with Helvecia awarded the Championship, but it is about time the two strongest sides in the competition met in the biggest event in the NFS calendar.

Pro are filled with England international experience and will see this as a weekend to put their Champions League ambitions to the test as they take on favourites Helvecia.

Despite having a number of internationals in their ranks, it is captain Denerson Moreira who has been the standout man for the side as one of the best, if not the best, players in the country.

Helvecia boast a number of key acquisitions from oversees in their ranks and are an effective, structured unit rather than an expansive, stylish side.

Raoni Medina who holds the captaincy for the team is their main outlet and they will look to him to provide the extra edge to get by a tough Pro side in order to gain a UEFA Champions League nomination and summer showdown victory.
