English 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi has officially handed in a transfer request at Chelsea.
The Blues had offered the winger a new deal worth a reported £85,000 a week as they look to avoid losing one of their star youngsters.
Bayern Munich have been one of the teams interested in the winger and have seen four bids all rejected.
The wantaway Stamford Bridge star was expecting to get more game time as boss Maurizio Sarri said this earlier on in the month:
“He is ready. Of course we have very important players in the same position. You want Willian on the bench? Pedro? I can play with only two wingers.
“I think now I can start to consider him on the same level.”
Since eight-years-old Hudson-Odoi has been in Chelsea blue, but with 18 months on his contract his situation is disruptive for the Premier League side. Sarri has gone onto record about the youth-product:
“He is very young, he has the future. He has a very great future here in England, with the national team and Chelsea. To stay here is better for him.”
With only five starts for his boyhood club and 14 appearances overall, it seems like the attacker’s mind is made up on a move away from London, with Munich the likely destination.
Bayern’s latest bid was £35 million. It was rejected by Chelsea.
Should the England Under-19 international choose to move to Germany, he would join Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson who have swapped England for the Bundesliga and have been given first team opportunities.
With Christian Pulisic joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer after the blues paid £58 million for the 20-year-old the promise for more chances seem to be under false understanding as Hudson-Odoi moves futher down the pecking order.
