Mora gets first El Tri goal in draw with Colombia

BALTIMORE, MD–A crowd of over 67,000 came to M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday to see a friendly between Mexico and Colombia. The match finished 1-1 and is most notable for 17-year old Gilberto Mora scoring his first goal for El Tri.

Mora scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute getting on the end of a long ball from Jesus Gallardo, cutting past a defender, and beating Alvaro Montero far post. It turned out to be the last contribution for Mora in the match as he was subbed out shortly thereafter. Luis Suarez had put Colombia ahead after just nine minutes.

Mexico takes on Peru on Tuesday in Harrison, New Jersey. Kickoff is at 10pm ET on Univision.
