Another loss on the road for the Portland Timbers

Preston Judd scored fourth minute and in the 29^th minute was a man on fire and teammate Edward Lowen in the 24^th minute scoring the go-ahead goal, and for the Portland Timbers David Da Costa scored a consolation goal in the 86^th minute.

Still, the way San Jose Earthquakes played all evening was evident of continuing to play well under Bruce Arena and looking to snag a high seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
