FC Cincinnati had the first chance of the match when a corner kick in the 2nd minute was cleared away by defender Chris Mbaï-Assem.

Defender Schinieder Mimy found midfielder Javaun Mussenden who then set winger Makai Wells for his one-time finish into the top-right corner to give New England the 1-0 lead.
New England’s next chance came in the 19th minute when a freekick sent into the box by Judah Siqueira was cleared away for a corner kick.
In the 24th minute, FC Cincinnati 2 midfielder Ademar Chavez was issued a yellow card for delaying a restart.
FC Cincinnati’s first major chance came in the 31st minute when a ball sent into the area towards forward Deiver Mosquera was met with a sliding challenge in the area by defender Chris Mbaï-Assem.
New England had yet another opportunity from a freekick when a delivery sent into the area by Cristiano Oliveira in the 45th minute was blocked and then struck the arm of Yair Ramos inside the penalty area. No PK was awarded.

Makai Wells had the first chance of the half when his headed effort in the 46th minute was blocked, his second shot blocked, and then had the ball cleared away for a corner kick.
Entering the 50th minute, FC Cincinnati 2 had thought they had leveled the scoreline with a goal from forward Deiver Mosquera, however, he was deemed offsides.
In the 54th minute, Revolution II defender Chris Mbaï-Assem was issued a yellow card for a high-boot.

In the 57th minute, Revolution II head coach Pablo Moreira made his first change of the match by replacing Judah Siqueira with Carlos Zambrano.
FC Cincinnati had a chance to score in the 61st minute when two different long throw attempts were cleared and then safely secured by goalkeeper JD Gunn.
In the 69th minute, both teams made changes. Revolution II head coach Pablo Moreira made his second, third, & fourth changes of the match by replacing Javaun Mussenden, Jayden Da, & Makai Wells with Myles Morgan, Sharod George, & Allan Oyirwoth. FC Cincinnati 2 head coach Sammy Castanos made his first change by replacing Mathias Vazquez with Jack Mize.
Myles Morgan had a good chance in the 71st minute when his effort towards goal was deflected and cleared.

FC Cincinnati 2 had two massive chances to score in the 73rd minute when a ball was centered in the area by defender Michael Sullivan and was claimed after two deflections by JD Gunn.
Ademar Chavez had a chance less than a minute later that forced a save by goalkeeper JD Gunn and out for a corner kick.
In the 85th minute, FC Cincinnati 2 head coach Sammy Castanos made his final change of the match by replacing Devier Mosquera with Gavin DeHart.
Entering the 86th minute, FC Cincinnati 2 leveled the scoreline.

Defender Michael Sullivan drove forward and slipped the ball through for forward Charlie Holmes as he buried his chance in the bottom right corner to make it 1-1.
Less than a minute later, New England regained the lead.

Defender Schinieder Mimy found midfielder Myles Morgan on the left flank. He then drove down the line and attempted a cut-back pass inside the box that was deflected off of defender Sam Lachekar and into his own net to make it 2-1 to New England.
In the 90th minute, Revolution II head coach Pablo Moreira made his final change of the match by replacing Cristiano Oliveira with Sheridan McNish.
After the 90+3 minutes, the match concluded with New England holding on for the 2-1 victory.
