FOXBOROUGH, MA– According to Sources, the New England Revolution have signed 17-year-old midfielder Cristiano Oliveira to a first-team contract as a Homegrown Player ahead of the 2026 MLS campaign.
He will occupy a Supplemental Roster Slot and will be identified as a Homegrown player according to MLS roster rules.

Cristiano Oliveira is a 17-year-old, 6’0, 160lbs, midfielder from Somerville, Massachusetts.
At the club level, Oliveira has appeared in 35 career games (2,358 minutes) for the New England Revolution II. He has appeared in 2 career games (90 minutes) for the New England Revolution first team.
In club career numbers, Oliveira has 6 goals, 3 assists, 2 yellow cards & o red cards.
Internationally, Oliveira has been called up to the United States Youth National Team at the U-15, U-16, & U-17 levels. For the U-17s he has most recently made 3 appearances (108 minutes).
In international career numbers, Oliveira has 1 goal, 0 assists, 0 yellow cards & 0 red cards.

On Thursday, January 8th, sources had indicated that Oliveira had signed a first-team contract ahead of the 2026 MLS campaign.
Oliveira’s deal begins in 2026 and is expected to run through the 2029-30 MLS season with club options for the 2030-31 season.
Oliveira will become the 16th player to sign with New England as a Homegrown Player on a first-team contract and is one of ten players to sign a first team deal after initially signing with Revolution II.
He will join a talented crop of Homegrown Players that currently feature for New England’s first team: Malcolm Fry (20), Damario McIntosh (18), Peyton Miller (18), Jack Panayotou (21), & Santiago “Tiago” Suarez (20).

Oliveira joined the New England Revolution Academy in 2021 and signed with the New England Revolution II in October of 2024.
At the time, Oliveira was the 14th Revolution Academy Player to sign a professional contract with Revolution II when he joined Esmir Bajraktarević, Noel Buck, Brandonn Bueno, Olger Escobar, Malcolm Fry, Hikaru Fujiwara, Eric Klein, Damario McIntosh, Peyton Miller, Colby Quiñones, Dennis Ramirez, Meny Silva, and Max Weinstein.
In 2025, Oliveira made 2 appearances with the New England Revolution first team (90 total minutes played) in the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. He scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute versus USL Championship side Rhode Island FC in the Round of 32.

Also, during the 2025 season, Oliveira became the sixth player from New England to feature in the MLS NEXT All-Star game, joining Esmir Bajraktarević (2022), Jack Panayotou(2022), Olger Escobar (2023), & Josh Macedo (2025).

Last week, Oliveira attended the MLS Rookie Symposium alongside newly signed 2026 MLS SuperDraft pick Schinieder Mimy in Miami, Florida.
Oliveira has joined the New England Revolution ahead of their preseason in Miami, Florida and has traveled down with the squad. Training is set to begin later today.
